Napier City Council is seeking to renew a number of bylaws.
These bylaws are important to the safe and efficient running of our city and are necessary to support a number of regulatory functions the Council provides. We think these bylaws are currently operating well and we are only proposing a few minor changes.
The bylaws that we are seeking to renew are:
The amendments made in the proposed bylaws are minor and do not change their substance or meaning. Minor amendments have been necessary to reflect legislative change or shifting responsibilities.
While we think these bylaws remain the most appropriate way of addressing the issues they cover and are functioning well, we welcome your suggestions for any improvements and encourage you to have your say. If you think these bylaws should be reviewed earlier than every five years, please let us know.
